About Me
Hello, I am Murat Sarıkuş and I am a professional taekwondo athlete. I have been interested in this sport for 25 years. I have many national and international sports achievements. Some of these are world second place, European first place, second place and third place. I have national status in both the poomsae category and the sparring category of Taekwondo. I am a graduate of Marmara University, Faculty of Sports Sciences, Department of Coaching. I graduated from this department as a high honor student. and I specialized in taekwondo coaching at my school. In addition to being an active athlete, I also work as a coach. I moved to Sweden in 2023 and live in Stockholm. I have a black belt 6 dan.
My mission
My mission is to shape my life and make a positive impact on society by embracing and practicing the core principles of Taekwondo. By embracing Taekwondo's values of discipline, self-control, respect and resilience, I aim to continuously improve myself and set an example to inspire others. By using the tools Taekwondo provides to serve society, motivate people and help them discover their potential, I aim to contribute to a better world. My biggest goal is to strive for a stronger, healthier and more cohabitable world by bringing the benefits of Taekwondo to every segment of society.
My vision
My vision is to bring the power and influence of Taekwondo to all segments of society, contributing to people living a healthier, stronger and more conscious life. In line with this vision, I aim to help young people and adults become physically, mentally and emotionally stronger by using the tools provided by Taekwondo. I also plan to organize various projects and events to serve the community, raise awareness of social responsibility and lead for social change. In this process, by adopting the values of Taekwondo as a lifestyle, I aim to always be a better version of myself and show others the same path.
BEST ATHLETE OF THE YEAR
In 2019, I was selected as the athlete of the year in Turkey at the Golden Caretta Award Ceremony held in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
